Purpose of the collaboration

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology is one of the world’s leading institutions within education, science, and innovation. DTU’s partnership with KAIST goes back to 2008, and the partnership has a continuous focus on the green transition, hereunder renewable energy and energy conversion.

South Korea and Denmark are strategic partners, and in 2013 the Innovation Center Denmark in Seoul was opened, positioned in The Danish Embassy in Korea, and has ever since actively, together with DTU, promoted Danish-Korean collaboration within science, innovation, and technology. Agendas that are also part of the Joint Action Plan 2021-2024

The DTU-KAIST collaboration is connected to the bilateral “Green Growth Alliance”, which is set to promote Danish-Korean political, commercial, and technological collaboration, within green technology and growth.
