Nanyang Technological University is one of the world’s leading institutions for higher education and science. Since independence Singapore has invested heavily in science and technology, one of several reasons why the country is among the richest in the world today. Historically, DTU and NTU have engaged in several joint projects, hereunder the Smart Cities World Lab consortium. Singapoore has an increasing focus on sustainability and the environment, and the country has also fomulated its ’30-by-30’ strategy, set to make the country able to supply itself with 30% of its food and beverage consumption.
